New case notes: public exclusion from meetings
The Chief Ombudsman Peter Boshier has today published two new case notes. Both relate to the public being excluded from meetings.
In one, case 529879, it was the Chief Ombudsman’s view that the public should not have been excluded from a meeting by a committee that included members from Tasman District Council and Nelson City Council under section 48 of the Local Government Meetings and Official Information Act.
